Nan Mullenneaux has taught Writing, History and Performance in Duke University’s Thompson Writing Program, English and History departments since 2009. She also taught 3 semesters at Duke Kunshan University in China. Before earning her PhD in Gender and Cultural History, Nan worked for almost 3 decades as a professional actress, director, acting teacher and coach. In 2020 Nan blended both her arts and academic careers when she joined Duke’s Language, Arts, and Media Program as a creative curriculum consultant and workshop designer. Recently Nan expanded her workshop design, facilitation and consultation to include topics such as Oral Delivery and Presentation, Anti-Racist Pedagogy, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellness/ Resilience.
